Introducing March Madness
It’s March 2021! The exclamation point is to hide the existential dread, did it work? As I type this, my dog has spent most of the last 18 hours whimpering, I’ve been in pain for two weeks, and I sleep so little it’s starting to become debilitating. All this from someone who has no humans I’m responsible for!!! All that to say, if the exhaustion of dealing with *gestures* all this for a year is becoming unbearable, know that you’re not alone. And uh… maybe we’ll be vaccinated soon? It means a lot to me that you are here supporting me in the meantime. This project and the creative outlet and structure it provides are important to me, and I appreciate you validating that.
So, here at Sweet Tooth Tracy, we’re getting creative for content. Let’s face it - going to get ice cream right now sucks. My “bubble,” as in “people I don’t wear a mask around,” is… (looks around) ??? nonexistent. I love living alone, and I don’t usually feel lonely, but that was a very isolating thing to realize. Which means I’m not going to go eat ice cream in a small shop with anybody during the panini. Plus the drama of what’s open and what moved and what sold and yadda yadda… all that to go in and not be able to sample anything, snap a couple pictures, and eat an ice cream cone alone in my car. Not a good time to be an ice cream blogger, my friends!
So, cookies n cream March Madness it is! Cookies n cream has always been a fave (or Oreo toppings on vanilla ice cream), so I figured I might as well determine which easily-accessible-in-the-midwest grocery store brand is the champ. Yes, Bluebell stans, I hear you loud and clear. But we’re gonna do this the scientific way… or the Sports way, I guess.
Setting up a bracket was a little more difficult than I anticipated, but I suffered through the whole process, down to eating a bunch of cookies n cream. The things I do for you!
