Ice Cream Bae-ck in Action!
Let’s goooo! If you’ve been here a while you know that Ice Cream Bae was an old fave, however, the original location closed and I did not follow them to Kansas. I was delighted to discover they are back on the Plaza when meeting Ashley + family for a treat!
Now with its own storefront instead of a booth in a bigger store, Ice Cream Bae offers the same mixed-in, soft serve fare as before. Hilariously I wrote something like “it is for the gram and I am HERE FOR IT” on both of my previous posts (linked above), which is still true although I asked what “artisanal” on the menu means and the poor teen working the register did not provide a coherent explanation.
Plaza grandeur on the outside, iiiiitty bitty living space on the inside, but they’ve made their lil nook very cute! I got the Paradise Sundae - ube soft serve topped with condensed milk, strawberries, and mangoes. Fun fact, that is the only one of their specialties that cannot be served in a cone because there’s fruit in the bottom, too! It was cute and purple and delicious, although I think I must finally admit that I like mango flavor a lot better than I like mango fruit itself.
So cute. Makes me nostalgic for when my grandpa was in the hospital and eating ice cream with him in his last days. Wait, maybe nostalgic isn’t the right word, but… sentimental?
