Giving Jeni's A Fair Shot

In the past I may have had a tiny feud with Jeni’s ice cream, based on a high-priced, low-quality iteration I tracked down in a KC grocery store. I’m so glad I finally got to try the real deal!

My friend and I sought out Jeni’s after a delicious Giordano’s pizza dinner while in Chicago for a conference. She was shocked that I’d never had it before, but I don’t find myself in the Great Lakes region all that often, what can I say?

I went with Fluffernutter Pie: roasted peanut butter and vanilla marshmallow ice creams layered with oat pie crust pieces; as well as Blackout Chocolate Cake: a chocolate ice cream quadruple threat with cake, extra-bitter fudge, and chocolate pieces. The former was good and the latter was awesome!

And of course, Jeni’s is known for their allegedly-very-shippable pints, but learn from my mistakes and don’t buy them from the Lee’s Summit Price Chopper. too far away on the supply chain I guess. Have you ever had Jeni’s? What’s your favorite flavor?
