Tracy, Ben, and Jerry
You’re not going to believe this confession but I swear it is true. I had never bought Ben and Jerry’s ice cream before this.
I’d been to a parlor ONCE, and found it very overwhelming. So many flavors that were SO distinct, and that you couldn’t really gauge without reading a lengthy description. I tried Americone Dream after practically begging the nice young person working to help me pick.
But I’d never bought it at the store. My reasoning? “Why would I spend $5 for tiny ice cream when I could spend $3 for much more ice cream?”
Reader, now I know why.
I don’t know if I even have the words to describe these flavors - and based on the gibberish description on the Milk and Cookies carton, Ben and Jerry’s may not, either. All 3 were excellent, 10/10, nothing I would change. You’ve heard me say before that I love chunks in my ice cream, and oh boy, does this deliver! Excellent ice cream base! Excellent chunks! LOTS of chunks! Ha! Good thing I’m not a food writer, with that sort of vocabulary. As you can see in the above pic, I’m pretty “Fonda” all 3!
(Humming the offensive song from a Madagascar sequel, “I like em chunky…”) How did I never try Ben and Jerry’s until now?? Which pint should I try next? BRB, doubling my grocery budget.
