Good news!

Oh, my friends, what a wild ride it has been. I love that even my non-local readers have been following the drama, but today I present the happy conclusion!!! Betty Rae’s is UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP, and as a result, back on my sweet tooth fave list!

The ice cream - delicious. The vibes - exquisite. The people - well, when I tentatively reached out and asked them to un-block me on insta, the people were very gracious and didn’t ask for details! (tbh the details were just that the previous owner had a social media meltdown.)

The menu when I visited was pure Betty Rae’s classics. Nothing wild, 27 full flavors of comfort and joy! I was surprised to find myself very nervous about Back to Betty Rae’s (it’s a lot of pressure to come back from my official un-endorsement!) and ended up with unphotogenic flavors. Ha! But oh boy the waffle cones are so good and I missed them. The bottom scoop was girl scout cookie, and the top scoop was goat cheese apricot candied walnut. Both were exquisite and exactly as they were before! Except now I’m jonesing for their cookies n cream, believe it or not… ha! (Fun fact, I am down to my last tub of cookies n cream left over from March, and I never did get sick of the flavor!)
