Stay Home: Salty Honey

I found A Cozy Kitchen’s Salty Honey ice cream recipe down a rabbit hole of baking blogs recommending their faves. I stay well-stocked in honey thanks to Messner Bee Farm (which I’ve shouted out before!) and it seemed like a worthy Isolation Ice Cream to try!

Yum!!! This stuff looked delicious every step of the way. The flavor of the finished product was very strong (which is fine by me!!!), especially with more honey drizzled on top. I tried a scoop of this with a scoop of a different flavor and the honey completely overpowered the second scoop. So maybe showcase this decadent flavor on its own :)

I was a little worried about its consistency coming out of the freezer - it didn’t freeze as solid as the other flavors I’ve succeeded with. I suppose that has something to do with the salt changing the temperature of things? #science. But it froze up to a very pleasant and scoopable consistency! Would you try salty honey ice cream?
