Stay Home: Vegan Base
Salt and Straw’s cookbook also includes an easy vegan base. I mixed up some of it with Betty Rae’s strawberry sauce, and I mixed up some as vanilla with leftover pecans. (The buttered pecans blended in make it not vegan tbh.)
It was very tasty! Creamy and decadent - it didn’t taste “healthy” or anything, don’t worry. Ha! I love coconut flavor and coconut scent but I’m not as big on the texture. This recipe does incorporate coconut flakes, so be warned if that’s an issue for you.
It was good! I’d like to do a month feature on non-dairy ice creams once it’s safe to be out and about again. Would you be into that?
