Cherries
This was my first trip to Cherries in Independence. While the strip mall fluorescent lighting was not my fave, the treats were good! I was impressed with the length of the sundae menu. Not only do they keep all sorts of toppings on hand, there’s a long list of sundaes with names like Gummy Rainbow, Cookie Dough Monster, Queen Anne’s Cherries… I appreciate the fun someone had making that menu, AND that there are so many pre-set choices! I have been known to be overwhelmed by topping options so I appreciate some boundaries.
I got the Oreo Lovers, with cookies n cream ice cream, hot fudge, and oreos, plus whipped cream and a cherry on top, of course. When I’d get ice cream with my friends as a teen and tween my go-to toppings were oreo and hot fudge, and this was a tasty throwback! My friends got a lava brownie sundae and a New York-style strawberry cheesecake sundae.
