Carry-out: Fairway Creamery

A confluence of events brings me back to Fairway Creamery: continuing training my dog to get used to the vet next door; receiving a gift card from a friend; an expanded online menu; the very public crashing and burning of my former favorite frozen food establishment.

While the outdoor order setup they had in place last time is obviously not a great match for midwest winters, I was impressed with the safety measures implemented by Fairway Creamery to allow customers to order (NOT TO EAT) inside. And that’s why the menu got so much longer than it was in the summer - they are offering their full range of sundaes now that they’re back inside.

I was delighted to partake in the My Big Fat Greek Wedding Sundae, with baklava, chopped pistachios, and honey. In the cutest little Greek carry-out cup, too! It was amazing, and I loved that “toppings” were buried in the middle of the soft serve instead of only on top.

While Fairway Creamery does not offer indoor seating at this time, they do have a pretty good outdoor setup for all your socially distanced ice cream consuming needs. As for me, I went back to my car to share with Laila. :)
