Carry-out: Fairway Creamery
I wrote a little bit about Laila’s and my process over the summer, and I am happy to report that we are continuing to make progress! Everyone at the new vet is being super accommodating and willing to take it slow with Laila, and we’ve been inside for a couple of “happy visits.” :) But in between those visits, we are still practicing walking around the property and enjoying a treat! Now… to the goods!
Pictured above: Banana pudding, described on the menu as vanilla bean banana pudding with vanilla wafers, whipped cream, and salted caramel drizzle. And Laila’s vanilla pup cup. Thumbs up from us!
Pictured above and at the top: PB+B Sundae, described as dark chocolate ice cream, peanut butter sauce, bananas, toasted peanuts, and whipped cream. Another Sweet Tooth Tracy big thumbs up. Yowza!
This one is a moody Fairway to Heaven. Reader, I’ve had my eye and my heart on this menu item since my very first visit, but only recently did I have it in my stomach to give it a shot. From the menu: vanilla bean soft serve on a donut topped with chocolate sauce, rainbow sprinkles and whipped cream. I appreciated that half the donut was on top (I’m sure the presentation is different during non-quarantimes). It was a good old fashioned donut. The sundae though… was a little disappointing. I expected the chocolate syrup served by a Christopher Elbow Chocolates operation to… taste better than Hershey’s. But that’s ok, now I can say I’ve tried it!
Fairway to Heaven night was also the first time Laila cleaned the plate with her pup cup, too… and by “cleaned the plate” I mean “ate the cup.” I’ll juggle my own treat better next time so I can supervise her!! I wonder what the employees think when I order something big and extra for me and then this plain kiddie cup. ha! What would you try at Fairway Creamery?
