Ok. First things first. It’s November. I missed Halloween. but you know what, I’m writing this in advance, not knowing what the country is going to look like come November 4… let me have this!

Here’s how it started. I was getting ads for the black Halloween ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery. I thought, what the heck, and ordered online. The "Trick or Treat Creation” is Boo Batter ice cream (Cake Batter dyed black), m&ms, kit kats, and Halloween oreos. Nothing bad about that! I had a slight meltdown about how prices are meaningless (the smallest serving you can get at my Coldstone costs 5.99, a pint costs $8, a quart costs $10, and a triple pint costs $12), ordered a triple pint, and headed out to pick it up.

You may have observed that my ice cream is not the spooky color… they were out of “boo batter” and I got “cake batter” instead. Honestly, probably just as well!! The black is a little… off-putting in the ads. I also indulged in an orange waffle cone, the photo of which prompted my mother to ask “did you make that??” Burn! No, I paid good money for the lopsided waffle cone.

The verdict? Nothing bad about it! Frozen m&ms aren’t the best thing that’s ever happened to my teeth, but it all tasted good. Very Halloweenie-festive!! Even without the black ice cream, ha. What’s your favorite Halloween candy?
