Just Chill

All right, we’ve got another rolled ice cream option today! I was just talking about how fun the make-the-ice-cream-in-front-of-ya concept is.

A little peek behind the curtain - I visited Just Chill on opening weekend in July. It is now halfway through September. So I’m sure they’ve tidied up better than some of these photos - but I did enjoy the “ice cream therapy” mural behind a pile of items, lol.

As of writing this post, Just Chill does not yet have a huge online presence beyond an instagram. It is part of the Dragonfly Tea Zone family - I have enjoyed their boba teas for years! Just Chill offers boba drinks, ice cream by the scoop. and milkshakes, as well as rolled ice cream. I also observed a DQ blizzard machine behind the counter - wonder what they use that for!

When I visited they did not yet have a menu of all available toppings available but I was content with ordering the Monkey Business from the set menu, described as vanilla ice cream mix with nutella, banana, topped with banana, chocolate pocky, whipped cream, and chocolate drizzle. Yum! My friend got the perfect matcha, which is a perfect name, and said the matcha flavor turned out great - we’ve discussed that tea flavors don’t always translate to different media.

I had a great time Just Chilling - and appreciated that as of writing it had not yet attracted Dragonfly’s typical crowds. Ha!
