Taylor Elizabeth Cakes
A fave is a fave, whether it’s ice cream-specific or not. See if you can spot the ice cream shoutouts in the photos :)
I’ve written about Taylor Elizabeth Cakes before, and I’ve even ended up with massive quantities of her goodies before. Indeed, I say Taylor is the person who truly made me an “influencer,” defined as “when I don’t have to pay for my own content.” Ha! But this is the first time that I intentionally ordered a massive pile of sweets just for me. Happy Valentine’s Day, indeed!
Here’s how it went. First I ordered a variety pack from her popup that included an arrangement from Elizabeth McKenzie Florals, chocolate-covered strawbs, and macarons. Great! Perfect. Enough?? I thought so, until Taylor kept posting about it and it all looked soooo good… I ordered a cake at the last minute. White strawberry. Fun fact: The first time I’ve paid for one of her cakes! Glad I am finally putting my money where my mouth is!!
Then…………. the day before I was due to pick up my items, Taylor had a big popup event with lots of expertly decorated goodies. While I didn’t make it to the event, I DID make it to instagram where she listed the leftovers and I snatched up three spectacular sugar cookies decorated to look like ice cream cones!!!! Y’all, they are so pretty they’re hard to EAT. And you know how much I love to eat desserts!
In summary:
Cake: Delicious.
Chocolate-covered strawbs: Decadent.
Sugar cookies: Designer.
Macarons: Divine.
Florals: Delightful.
Quantity: PERHAPS too much but I am persevering. It strikes me that perhaps I should drop slices of cake off to friends but now I’m all self-conscious about how inexpertly I hacked up the poor thing after taking these photos.
I made bubble tea, too. It seemed appropriate! Oh and I managed to win a Smarties giveaway on instagram, is the reason for the preponderance of “love hearts.” I may love the Brachs conversation heart aesthetic but the Smarties version tastes better!!
