Return to the Churn

This will also serve as my anniversary post, since I don’t have the energy to do a retrospective like last year and also the years blur together and I couldn’t have told you it’s been OVER a full calendar year since I was making tons of ice cream, etc. Woo! Two years ago I started this blog right after visiting family in Colorado, and my very first post was about getting scoops from The Churn (Old Town Churn? I think you can call it either) with an instagram friend! What a full circle moment to return with kin now that it’s marginally safe to travel.

I, once again, got purple ice cream for the ‘gram. This flavor was called Space Junkie and was blackberry with brownie bits and marshmallow swirl. Clockwise from that we’ve got a red velvet ice cream sandwich, salted Oreo (perhaps too salty, I am told), salted maple pecan, and FoCo Choco (chocolate with brownies and whatnot).

Fun fact: Just this morning I saw an author photo of Casey McQuiston in front of this mural! I was rereading One Last Stop while I was out there, too, aww.

That’s the charming churn! Thanks for keeping me company for the last two years. We’ll see what the next two bring!
