Hoo boy, have I got a treat for you today! Winstead’s is a fabulous retro diner that’s been around since 1940. While some locations have closed over the years, I can attest that the one off the Plaza is fantastic! While they hype their steakburgers, an ice cream purist like me knows it’s all about the soda fountain!

Yowza! Round 1 included a frosty and cherry limeade for me, and an orangeade for Rex. The service was top-notch, too. Jozie answered my questions and hooked us up with happy hour discounts and was an utter delight! My question… well, my question gives away the extent of my unrefined palate. I asked what the difference is between the frosty and a shake or malt… since silly me, I thought that a Wendy’s frosty was just a chocolate malt! Ha. I couldn’t tell you what the answer was but it was thorough and delicious!

Hashtag VIBES, amirite??? Teal and pink every place every day!!!

And for dessert (ha!), a cherry malt and a butterscotch malt.
