Ari'Lay's Ice Cream and Treats

It’s my very favorite category today, the hyper-local Black-owned business! Located within walking distance of me, Ari’Lay’s is an ice cream shop named for the two girls whose dream it brings to life.

I visited opening week and they were scooping Bluebell ice cream. I got Old Fashioned Blackberry Cobbler and it was delightfully fresh, while my folks got cookies’n’ cream, salted caramel brownie, blue monster, and strawberry. I also got a lemon crunch cookie and it was my favorite part!

I am curious about where they source their baked goods from. I happen to know the shop doesn’t have a kitchen, because my hairdresser happened to rent the same space previously. :)

I did get a huge kick out of seeing the scoop-rinsing spot is the same sink where I got my hair washed probably 60 times. lol!
