Yum!

Savor some sweetness with me, won’t you?

La Dulzura

You know I love a paleteria, and a new one opened near my parents! La Dulzura Creamery resides in an old Blockbuster and we stopped by recently for food and treats.

Like any paleteria I’ve visited, they offer authentic Mexican cuisine as well as the super-extra desserts and fruit concoctions. Along with elotes (which did not disappoint) I ordered the vegetarian burrito… LOL. I’m sure the street tacos are great but if you’re a less-meat kinda person, stick to the elotes and ice cream!

My dad ordered the Special Pineada (no idea how to type a ~ over the letter, sorry), described as pineapple sorbet with diced pineapple, chamoy, tajin, chamoy straw, and tamarind candies. A pina colada paleta for my mother, and for me of course… the tres marias! AKA, the classic Mexican sundae… three scoops with all manner of super-extra toppings!!!!

I got a scoop each of gansito, horchata, and cheese strawberry. What would you try with all those sprinkles and shell topping? PS the Mexican wafer cookies taste better than the US version!!!!
