Tropicana

Bienvenidos to Sweet Tooth Tracy, where today our travels take us to Paleterias Tropicana! Their flagship store is in KCK and I went there once BSTT (before sweet tooth tracy) and that place was PACKED! For this visit, a friend and I visited the conveniently located Independence location, which offers the same fresh fruits and flavors!

Y’all know I love a sundae from a Mexican ice cream shop. I ordered mine with a scoop each of mamey (a tropical fruit), freshata (their house brand of horchata), and pastel (birthday cake). I… was a happy camper! Even with the chocolate shell topping fused to the top layer of ice cream :) Ha! Can’t complain.

Tropicana is known for their paletas (popsicles) as well, and I highly recommend giving them a try as well. (Paleteria El Chavo sells Tropicana’s paletas.) Also - all manner of main dishes and snacks! I went home with flautas and elotes and I confess that I was muy feliz about it!!! Have you been to a Mexican ice cream place before, and if not, when are we going to Tropicana?
